Are these the larvae I keep finding near my window? +

Probably yes. Adult Carpet Beetles are attracted to light and gather at windows; larvae are often found nearby in carpets, under furniture, or in closets. The brown carrot-shaped bristly larvae or their shed skins (small brown husks that look like dead miniature larvae) are diagnostic. Finding them at windows doesn't mean the infestation is there — it usually means the actual feeding source is in a closet or storage area elsewhere in the room.

Will my pet attract carpet beetles? +
