Exclusion and prevention
Rodent Exclusion
Rodent exclusion seals the gaps, cracks, and entry points that let mice and rats into your home. We identify every vulnerable spot and close it with professional-grade materials backed by a 1-year warranty.
Local support
Seal every entry pointMice fit through gaps as small as a quarter inch. We find and close them all.
Why Rodents Enter Your Home
Understanding what drives rodents indoors is the first step to keeping them out permanently.
Professional Sealing Methods
We use the right material for each type of entry point to ensure a lasting seal.
Steel Wool Packing
Packed into small gaps and crevices to create an impenetrable barrier that rodents cannot chew through. Ideal for pipe penetrations and conduit openings.
Sheet Metal Patches
Covers larger openings around pipes, vents, and utility entry points. Professional-grade sheet metal provides permanent, gnaw-proof protection.
Hardware Cloth
Galvanized wire mesh installed over crawl space vents, foundation gaps, and soffit openings. Allows airflow while blocking rodent access completely.
Foam Caulk Sealing
Seals irregular gaps around cable entries, conduit penetrations, and pipe runs. Expands to fill uneven surfaces and hardens to a rodent-resistant barrier.
Concrete and Mortar
Permanent repair for foundation cracks, masonry gaps, and exterior wall damage. Provides the most durable long-term rodent-proofing for structural openings.
Door Sweeps & Weatherstripping
Door sweeps and commercial-grade weatherstripping seal the gap under and around exterior doors — one of the most overlooked rodent entry points in residential properties.
Our Exclusion Process
A systematic approach to sealing your home.
1. Full-Perimeter Inspection
We inspect every exterior surface — roofline, foundation, utility entries, doors, and vents — identifying all gaps ¼ inch or larger that could allow rodent entry.
2. Professional Sealing
Each entry point is sealed with the appropriate material — steel wool, sheet metal, hardware cloth, caulk, or concrete — matched to the gap type and location.
3. Monitor and Warranty
We verify the exclusion work is holding, monitor for any new activity, and back everything with a full 1-year warranty. Optional annual renewal available.
Our commitment
1-Year Warranty on All Exclusion Work
Every sealed entry point is backed by a full 1-year warranty. If rodents find a way back through our work, we return and re-seal at no cost.
Rodent Exclusion FAQ
How small of a gap can a mouse fit through?
Mice can squeeze through gaps as small as ¼ inch — about the width of a pencil. Rats need slightly larger openings, around ½ inch. During our inspection, we identify and seal every gap that meets these thresholds.
Do you use poison or traps for exclusion?
Exclusion is a prevention-focused service. We seal entry points to keep rodents out rather than relying on poison or traps. If you have an active infestation, we may recommend combining exclusion with our rodent control service for the best results.
What does the 1-year warranty cover?
The warranty covers all sealed entry points. If rodents re-enter through any area we sealed during the exclusion service, we return and re-seal at no additional cost within the warranty period.
Do I need to be home during the service?
Yes. We require you to be on-site during the exclusion process because we need interior access to every area of the home to ensure complete coverage. Most exclusion jobs take 2–4 hours depending on property size.
Can I renew the warranty after the first year?
Yes. We offer an optional annual renewal at a flat fee to extend your warranty coverage. This includes a re-inspection of all sealed areas and any maintenance needed to keep the exclusion intact.
